doc. JUDr. Michael Kohajda, Ph.D.

Michael Kohajda graduated the study program Law and legal science at Faculty of Law of Palacký University in Olomouc where he finished his studies in 2005. Later, he continued with the doctoral study program Theoretical legal science simultaneously with his employment at Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague where he acquired the decree JUDr. In the same year, he finished his doctoral studies and reached the scientific decree of Ph.D. Finally, he successfully habilitated at Faculty of Law of Charles University in 2016 and became a professor associate of financial law and financial science.

Michael focuses mainly on financial law, namely tax law and financial markets law, but he devotes his attention long-term to legal relations related to immovable properties in the praxis of advocate.

Michael has been working in the academic sphere since 2005. He started as a professional assistant at the Faculty of Law of Palacký University in Olomouc and nowadays, he is a permanent staff of Faculty of Law of Charles University where he operates as a professor associate of financial law and financial science and teaches the lectures of financial law, tax law and bank law. Occasionally, he runs specialized courses even in other universities and colleges in the Czech Republic.

Concerning his academic activity, Michael teaches also international students in the program Erasmus+ as well as in the program LL.M. of Faculty of Law of Charles University. He carries out international teaching stays (e.g. at the law faculties of Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, Universidad de Granada, Universidad de Salamanca, Spain; The Hague University, the Netherlands; Universite Paris Sud, Faculte de Jean Monnet, France; and Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II or Universita degli Studi di Milano, Italy) regularly too. He participates also in foreign scientific stays and professional conferences (e.g. USA, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey etc.).

Michael is active also in the professional institutions. He had been the member of the Working commission for public law II – financial law of Government Legislative Council since 2011 until 2016. In the past, he was appointed into the working commission for the preparation of the new act on income taxes at the Ministry of finance CR. He has been a member of appeal commission of the minister of finance for the field of hazard games since 2014. Finally, he is active in the local affairs in the local government bodies of his hometown Šumperk.

Michael speaks Czech and English actively, Slovak and French passively. He spends his free time by traveling, sport and nature.



JUDr. Tomáš Sejkora, Ph.D.

Tomáš graduated the master study program Law and legal science at Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2014. Then at the same faculty in 2016, he successfully completed the state exam and reached the decree JUDr. He finished his doctoral studies of the program Theoretical legal science focusing on financial law and financial science at the department of financial law and financial science at Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2017 and acquired the decree Ph.D. Tomáš had gathered a short experience as a lawyer in the office of Financial arbiter before he started to focus on advocacy.

In his legal praxis, Tomáš also operates as an external lecturer at several public and private Czech Universities and undertakes scientific and study stays in foreign countries. Tomáš focuses on issues of financial law, mainly on the field of tax law, insurance, and financial market, but he devotes his interest to the civil law and administrative law too.

Regularly, Tomáš engages in the Czech and international scientific conferences and pays an attention to publishing activities. He is an author of number of professional articles and few monographies.

Tomáš speaks English actively and German passively.



JUDr. Jakub Vojtěch

Jakub graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in 2015 and obtained the title Mgr. During his Master´s degree studies he attended study stays in Egypt and Kuwait. In 2016, he passed the Post-Master´s Examination at the same Faculty and was awarded the title JUDr. He is currently completing his Doctoral Studies (Ph.D.) in Financial Law and Financial Science at the Department of Financial Law and Financial Science of the Faculty of Law of the Charles University. In the academic field, he primarily focuses on Islamic financial law, regularly attends scientific conferences and is the author of a number of research papers and articles.

Jakub worked for several years as a junior lawyer at a leading international law firm. The main area of his specialization is financial and administrative law and real estate law. His languages include English, German, Italian, French and Arabic.
